Our Promise
The to-do list never, ever ends from the time that piercing alarm goes off in the morning until we crash at the end of the day, realizing we forgot that one more thing.
We are in constant motion with everybody’s needs being first until we get to that scrap of time at the end of the day exhausted we maybe claim for ourselves.
We need to flip that switch as you are your most valuable asset. If talking to a friend, you would tell her she needs to take phenomenal care of herself. Well, look in the mirror- you are that friend!
You do have a sanctuary, and you can create a sacred space for yourself. Your bath can be that meditation room, but first, you intentionally must shut the door on that world and not let it in.
Light a candle and dim the light. Draw a warm, hot bath. Let yourself sink into the water and feel the tension melt out of your body.
Add bath salts and soap up a cloth or pouf. Fill your lungs with the scents that let your mind drift a bit.
Close your eyes and be still. Let that quiet help your spirit get centered within yourself.
Give yourself that space for 20 minutes or until the water gets cold and feel renewed.
Then remind yourself, here I am.
