After the Show is Over!
OK I am resting on the couch and I am not sure which hurts worst, my feet or my back? I do love doing shows and as I get older the outdoor shows get a bit tougher ( yes I am tired and I pondered whether tuffer looked better). I was up at 5 AM and got ready. My clown car was packed up last night and I had the bits of odds and ends that I did not remember the night before to pack into the car including me! I went and got a bagel and off I went to the site.
I was at the Rustic Muse Art Show and had a blast. I setup with some kind help from other crafters. It is so cool to set others you have showed with at other events and get and give big hugs. We artisans are such great people and seeing friends makes everything nicer. Also met some new peeps!
Seeing past customers coming back is always so rewarding and also meeting new ones and introducing them to you and your products. Love how my soap scents draw people in and what soaps they end up liking and purchasing. I love those that say we will be back and do come back! Some just come to sniff some good scents. And it is an up and down day as I try to be ready for anyone that comes along!
It is interesting to me who buys what soap or bath product as sometimes you really cannot tell what interests someone. The day has periods of busyness and times when the crows dies down, Then it is time to pack up and take the tent down. This is the hardest part as all are generally a tired bunch and just want that car or truck to be magically loaded up. And then unloading the car and putting it all away.
I feel very satisfied with how things went and that glass of wine really really helps soothe this tired body.
I hope you had a very satisfying day and a wonderful evening!
This artisan will be calling it an early night!
