When was the last time you walked barefoot in the grass?
When I think of walking barefoot in the grass, I think of the movie Pretty Woman when Richard Gere walked barefoot in a park towards the end of the movie. This was his way of trying to figure out who he was and what he wanted out of life. This was his way of thinking seriously about himself, what he wanted and possibly connecting to himself.
I always take my shoes off as soon as I walk through my door and especially in the warmer weather I am barefoot in the house. But I cannot tell you when I have walked barefoot outside, in the grass. I forever have either sandals or shoes on.
In my mind I know that walking barefoot in the grass is one way to connect to the earth- to feel the sweet grass cool against my feet, what a great feeling. Walking that way on the ground leads to pondering and thinking more deeply about things. It’s also a way to connect to the earth and a roundabout way to connect back to you self. The circle unbroken??n!
I do love to walk on the beach barefoot and squish ( very technical term for this process!) the sane between my toes. I also love the feeling of standing at the water’s edge as the waves rustle in along the shore and then sweep back into the ocean. The water rushes back and seems to draw you in as your feet sink into the wet sand. There is a beautiful give and take at the ocean’s edge.
Feet are the small areas of our bodies that touch the earth and when we touch it sole to soul there is much we can experience and meditate upon.
When was the last time you walked barefoot upon the earth and did you feel the earth’s soul through your soles?

Love the photo and enjoyed the read. Very clever “sole to soul”. Great description of the ocean under foot. I could feel it. I would have suggested the reader enjoy one of my products such as peppermint soap, foot scrub or foot soak for the tootsies after that walk barefoot. Then link the product to your website page. Maybe add a photo of the product. A few typos. Watch for run on sentences.

Kathy thanks for reading and your comments. Much appreciated! And once I have some foot scrubs will do. Awesome!

Just a couple of days ago! The past 7 weeks I have been trying to seek recovery for my body. Muscles aching, spasming, etc. I have been finding I feel so much better not wearing shoes! I take them off any chance I get. I have even been watering my flowers with no shoes on, enjoying the wet ground beneath my feet.

I walked on the beach today. I got out there at 7 am and the beauty of the water just overwhelmed me.

I’m like you and I can’t remember the last time I was barefoot on the ground. Sad. I think I need to get off the computer, take my shoes off and walk around my beautiful backyard.

Angela hope you got that walk in and touch some of that New York ground for me! 🙂

It’s been far too long, I think I shall go take a step without my sandals on! 🙂
