You know you want this recipe!
My second website re-design was done by a wonderful couple that I was blessed to come to know. The wife, Christiane Potts is also a food blogger named The Mom Chef~ Taking on Magazines. She critiques magazine recipes. by testing them as to whether the recipes actually taste and look the same as cited in the magazine.
She then writes a blog post about the recipe adding her wonderful sense of humor for how it worked out. She adds what she would change or not and what she might add to make it taste better. Her daughter, she calls Dudette, also gives her opinion on whether it is thumbs up or down.
I follow her blog and this recipe was in a recent post. The above dish she shared on a recent blog post titled Maria’s Baked Spaghetti. I saw this recipe and told myself YES I can make this and yes I want it. I have the link attached in the previous sentence in case you want the recipe too! 🙂 Yes it has been hot here in North Carolina and in the 90’s but this weekend I am definitely making this bad boy. This is comfort food for sure and I have been craving it. Salads and cold meals go only so far and I am ready for something different.
I am a recipe collector. One of those people who hoard recipes. I have ones that I grew up with from my Mom and also from my Father-in-law. I have pages torn out of magazines and newspapers and shared from friends. Now I am subscribing to Food Bloggers and printing out recipes from their sites.
My stack of recipes to try is filling a bottom drawer in my kitchen! And don’t me started on cookbooks and those cute little recipe booklets that I purchase from touristy places I have traveled to over the years.
I think I will never get to the bottom of that pile of recipes! But I will get through a bunch one recipe at a time!
Has some comfort food been knocking on your door lately?
What are you going to make this weekend ? If you try this recipe let me know below how it turned out and I will let you know too!
