OK, seriously how many of you have watched the movie Shrek with Donkey as his sidekick? Yes, I watched that movie numerous times and even bought the DVD! I loved the jokes and the story and just enjoyed being a kid watching it.
There is a part in the movie where Donkey makes a comment about his breath being “Minty Fresh” that always makes me smile.
I came across this blend of Spearmint and Peppermint on the Loving Soap Site and decided to use it in a new soap. Donkey reminded me that YES this is it and why he loved being Minty Fresh! Also why I named this soap Minty Fresh!
The wonderful mintiness of the scent will take your morning shower to a new level. Let the double barrel of two mints wake you up so are fresh in the morning after a sleepy night. And don’t forget mint essential oils have the added benefit of cooling making this bar perfect for those hot summer days!

But why buttermilk?
My parents were from Germany making me a first-generation German. I grew up with my Father always drinking buttermilk and this reminds me of him which is why I chose it.
It is a thick milk and has a lot of butterfat in it and makes a rich creamy lather.
The added honey enhances the creaminess of this bar. The powdered oatmeal gently exfoliates the skin.
All are scented with a hint of delicious Cinnamon essential oil for a great skin-loving bar.

Spring for me is that time of year when the earth is bursting with new beginnings and lots of growth and energy. I feel that the earth is really juicy at this time - just filled with that crisp energy that holds lots of promise for the year. The scent that I chose to express this juiciness is Pink Grapefruit and a hint of Patchouli and I hope you will love this blend that permeates the bath products that are included in this box. I have used the bath as my meditation tool for many years where I close the door on the chaos of the day. I then created a ritual space for myself to get centered and grounded. This has been my practice to come home to myself. Bathing and the art of bathing have been ritualized in many cultures around the world and I bring it now to you.
I want this box to be your tool kit to create a sacred space in your daily life. I would love it if this became a well-used habit where you would feel free to shut the door on the world, turn inward, strike a match, and settle into yourself for 5 - 10 -20 minutes or until the water gets cold.
Try this in small steps over time as I know we all feel overwhelmed. But it is important to fill your well with energy and compassion for yourself. So try this out and see where it can lead you back to yourself. There is a short meditation included in the box to get you started.

I LOVE the scent of the Christmas Trees in the house and also the wreath on my front door. The scent of pine and spruce bring me back home to when I was a kid.
Decorating the tree and putting up the lights. Carefully unwrapping the glass ornaments and carefully placing them. Opening up the boxes of tinsel and placing it on the tree strand by strand and then just throwing it up and at my brother was such fun.
I love the scent of pine and spruce in this blend plus a bit of orange and peppermint to round out the Christmas scent. Let me take you to that memory when you were awake all night waiting for morning to come!

When November hits I am looking for all things Peppermint.
Peppermint Candy Canes, Peppermint Mocha Lattes, Puffy Peppermint Candies. I LOVE the Peppermint season of Winter.
I scented these bars with Peppermint and Lavender Essential Oils which gives these bars a zippy peppy scent.
I added some frosty peaks and more drizzles of red and green on top and of course some glitter for some seasonal bling.
