Peppermint Stick Soap

I LOVE the scent of the Christmas Trees in the house and also the wreath on my front door. The scent of pine and spruce bring me back home to when I was a kid. Decorating the tree and putting up the lights. Carefully unwrapping the glass ornaments and carefully placing them. Opening up the boxes of tinsel and placing it on the tree strand by strand and then just throwing it up and at my brother was such fun. I love the scent of pine and spruce in this blend plus a bit of orange and peppermint to round out the Christmas scent. Let me take you to that memory when you were awake all night waiting for morning to come!

Buttermilk you say, why buttermilk? Many people have asked do I have any goat's milk soap and my answer has always been no. But I do have buttermilk in some soaps. This one and my Oatmeal Milk & Honey Soap. But why buttermilk? My parents were from Germany making me a first-generation German. I grew up with my Father always drinking buttermilk and this reminds me of him which is why I chose it. It is thick milk and has a lot of butterfat in it and makes a rich creamy lather. Earthy Patchouli and Sweet Orange create a refreshing scent in this soap. If you thought you did not like Patchouli -try this one! The Orange brightens the rich scent of Patchouli so you will fall in love with it again.   This is one of my favorite scents which I am sure you will enjoy!   Bars are on the curing rack and will be available to ship 10/5  

Sylvia Plath once wrote~   " There must be quite a few things that a hot bath won't cure but I don't know many of them."   Spring for me is that time of year when the earth is bursting with new beginnings and lots of growth and energy. I feel that the earth is really juicy at this time - just filled with that crisp energy that holds lots of promise for the year. The scent that I chose to express this juiciness is Pink Grapefruit and a hint of Patchouli and I hope you will love this blend that permeates the bath products that are included in this box. Here is to our juicy selves!   I have used the bath as my meditation tool for many years where I close the door on the chaos of the day. I then created a ritual space for myself to get centered and grounded. This has been my practice to come home to myself. Bathing and the art of bathing have been ritualized in many cultures around the world and I bring it now to you.   I want this box to be your tool kit to create a sacred space in your daily life. I would love it if this became a well-used habit where you would feel free to shut the door on the world, turn inward, strike a match, and settle into yourself for 5 - 10 -20 minutes or until the water gets cold.   Try this in small steps over time as I know we all feel overwhelmed. But it is important to fill your well with energy and compassion for yourself. So try this out and see where it can lead you back to yourself.
