Rosemary Mint Soap

Sumptuous herbal blend of Lavender and Rosemary with the herbal powders of Alkanet and Nettle to add some color. Relaxing Lavender and clarifying Rosemary Essential Oils bring an image of an English Garden.  

Sylvia Plath once wrote~   " There must be quite a few things that a hot bath won't cure but I don't know many of them."   Spring for me is that time of year when the earth is bursting with new beginnings and lots of growth and energy. I feel that the earth is really juicy at this time - just filled with that crisp energy that holds lots of promise for the year. The scent that I chose to express this juiciness is Pink Grapefruit and a hint of Patchouli. Pink Grapefruit for me is Spring- it is sweet - succulent and of course pink like spring flowers. Patchouli for the earth from where new growth springs. I hope you will love this blend that will permeate your bath as you settle into the water.   Here is to our juicy selves!   I have used the bath as my meditation tool for many years where I close the door on the chaos of the day. I then created a ritual space for myself to get centered and grounded. This has been my practice to come home to myself. Bathing and the art of bathing have been ritualized in many cultures around the world and I bring it now to you.   I want this box to be your tool kit to create a sacred space in your daily life. I would love it if this became a well-used habit where you would feel free to shut the door on the world, turn inward, strike a match, and settle into yourself for 5 - 10 -20 minutes or until the water gets cold.   Try this in small steps over time as I know we all feel overwhelmed. But it is important to fill your well with energy and compassion for yourself. So try this out and see where it can lead you back to yourself. I added a hint of Patchouli for the earthiness from which new growth starts from and citrusy Litsea Cubea that holds the Pink Grapefruit firmly in place. Buttermilk you say, why buttermilk? Many people have asked do I have any goat's milk soap and my answer has always been no. But I do have buttermilk in some soaps. This one and my Orange Patchouli Soap. But why buttermilk? My parents were from Germany making me a first-generation German. I grew up with my Father always drinking buttermilk and this reminds me of him which is why I chose it. It is a thick milk and has a lot of butterfat in it and makes a rich creamy lather. The added honey enhances the creaminess of this bar. The powdered oatmeal gently exfoliates the skin. All are scented with a hint of delicious Cinnamon essential oil for a great skin-loving bar.  

The lemony aroma of Lemongrass Essential Oil enhances the clean herbaceous scent of Rosemary and the sweet scent of Mandarin. Dill leaves are freely scattered throughout the bar to add a touch of green.  

Luscious Essential Oils of Orange, Spicy Cinnamon &  Clove combine to provide a warm, comfy bath. The first thought you have when you smell this bar is Autumn and Russian Tea or those Clove Orange Pomander  Balls you made in Brownies. This blend can warm your heart and soul as do the changing colors on the trees.
