Have you ever seen an Avocado Flower ?
Yes I should have known that there are Avocado flowers but the only images I have in my head when talking about Avocados are the actual fruit and seed. So I thought I would share this great picture and also talk about this wonderful fruit. Yes, I also had to look that up before I wrote it as I did not remember whether it was a fruit or a vegetable but it is a fruit. I love how that bee is patiently pollinating that flower and bees are a topic for another day.
avocados have been known to be very rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, D, & E and also in amino and fatty acids which is why you may hear that half an avocado a day is good for your cholesterol. The oil is cold pressed from this wonderful fruit producing a beautiful green oil.
But did you know that avocados are also good for you on the outside of your body as well as inside your body?
Vitamins A, D & E are involved in cell growth and regeneration and A & E also have anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. These attributes make avocado oil a welcome addition to any soap product. Avocado is also very moisturizing and gentle to sensitive skin. The richness of this wonderful oil makes it a welcome addition in any soap bar for those with dry itchy skin. There is some avocado oil in every bar we sell.
