How Can Bathing Inspire You to Relax ?
Yes I admit that the picture above is a great inspiration for a relaxing bath.
But, what do you do when the stress builds up?
When your nerves get jangled up?
What do you do to unwind the tightness in your body?
If you are one of those lucky people who have a tub in your bathroom or combo tub & shower you have the perfect solution. This space, your bathroom is a room for your bath. A place where you can create an atmosphere of calm in your midst of the business of life happening. Your mind and heart wanders as you see the possibilities. This is a place where you can carve out some time for yourself. This is the place where you can be present with yourself and just be.
What more inspiration does your spirit need?
If you were to let go and imagine yourself in a calming space what would it look like? What would inspire you to relax? Would there be water, warm and calm? Some soft light from a candle burning? Some soothing music playing in the background. Relaxing scents from soap and bath salts that calm your spirit.
You close the door on the world and just be with yourself. Just breathe in and out and feel your whole body unwind like a telephone cord. Minute by minute you start to feel lighter in spirit as the weight of the day starts shifting off your shoulders.
You are here in this watery place and are letting go of all that is holding you back from yourself.
Breathe yourself in and let that negativity and stress fall away. Give yourself a gift and be present with your deep self. Listen for that still small voice that talks to you in a loving way and tells you that you are enough.
Now, go draw some water into that tub. Light a candle and sink into that warmth and breathe!
Oh, I so needed to read this. Yes, I am in need of that relaxing, calming bath. I love to take “those” kinds of baths. Thanks for the mental picture…;)
