Creating & Holding Space
I had been a massage to balance a day job, a soap business and be a massage therapist all at the same time. Somewhere along the way in my training I had heard the term “holding space for your clients” and this had been my approach to my sessions. I put into my work the attitude that I was holding space for my clients to relax, renew and recharge themselves and their spirit and also to help their sore muscles. I feel this practice of holding space is something we need t0 do for ourselves, something we all need to practice to give our selves and our spirits a rest and a time out from the daily business of our daily lives.
We rush around and do do do but never do for ourselves. We never give ourselves that time to just be. To really just breathe in and breathe out and to be still. When was the last time you just sat still? With no texting, no computer, no music blaring ? And when was the last time you shut the door on the world, just closed and shut it out and had some good quality ME time?
I am holding this space for you. I am saying it is okay to relax and breathe in and out a deep shuddering breath. Allow yourself to relax and to go down deep into yourself, into your center. Feel yourself there and allow your self to just sit there and be for a while. Be patient and take your time and notice your surroundings. This is your room for yourself to come and be. This is your space, your sacred space within yourself. Sit and rest awhile. Be still and just be.
I want to give this to you as a gift to use daily, weekly, monthly.
