Spring brings new beginnings- what are yours?
Spring seems to be the time of year for baby lambs and chicks and first flowers blooming. There is a great rush for new life being born and plants flourishing. There is allot of energy swirling around as all this new life is struggling to appear all at once.
New Year’s Day has usually been the typical day for resolutions and goals to be set for the year. New Year, new goals that we set for ourselves. We start out with several goals- resolutions that we aim with allot of effort to achieve. We feel if we have a definite goal in mind and a reward we achieve it. Sometimes we do and more often we do not. Then people talk smart goals with and this and that. Still makes them hard to complete and not give up. I know I have had more than my share of doing this.
But back to spring.
Spring seems to be the time of new beginnings and new things coming into being. This seems to be more the time after the long rest of winter, when the weather encourages you to get out and get moving and notice what’s around you.
This is the time to start thinking about things. Things you want to do for yourself for this year. You start making plans because it seems like all your inner juices are flowing like the sap in the trees reaching up.
These are your intentions that you are planning. These are your seeds that you are planting for the this year, whether an actual garden or some spring cleaning or planning to take a little more time for yourself.
Think of these intentions as seedlings that you are planting and that you will nurture them and watch over them. Make sure they have enough light and water to grow strong.
What are you planting this spring?

This is a great post, and a super reminder of the importance of stopping with the seasons to regroup and assess what to get rid of and what to add. This spring, I’m planing renewed focus … on what’s most important. I’m reading a book about how to focus better on my priorities and I’m attending a day-long training on the topic in May.

I am reading a book about creative muses to help me with creating more time in my life to write and play and be inspired. I know that squirrel keeps popping in life to distract me also from my focus. 🙂

I’m so excited for this spring! It does bring new excitement 🙂 I think i’ll plant seeds of self care so that I remember to take better care of myself. Thanks for the reminder!
