What do you care enough about to make room for it in your life?
I came across the quote below recently,
“When you recover or discover something that nourishes your soul and brings you joy, care enough about yourself to make room for it in your life”
Jean Shinoda Bolen
I have this written in my Reminder Journal and this is something I started due to the wise words of Jill Badonsky. She suggested writing down quotes in a little pocket journal to keep me reminded of sayings and things that moved me.
But I am getting off-topic.
There are things and people that nourish me, and I know you know that baths are at the top of that list also. I try to journal and remind myself of thoughts and feelings that have made my days more special. Creative things are also part of this and something I try to include and make room for in my life. Making soap and items to enjoy the bath more as well as quilting which I am sorry to say has been on my back burner for way too long. Even just sitting and settling down into myself with some breathing in and out to calm my spirit.
What things do you care about doing that seem too far out of reach and like no room in your life for them? Is it a walk outside to look at the sky and get some sun? Is it a book that has been calling you to read it? What is it that waves at you hoping to catch your eye and say over here and don’t you see me? I can help?
Please comment below and let me know what things are calling and trying to get your attention! Would love to hear what calls you!

Several things call to me: acting, painting, writing, singing. I am doing all of these, but the one thing that is whispering to me, that I’m NOT doing, is spending time in the woods, walking trails, feeling my feet on the earth, smelling the growing things, drinking in the sounds of nature. Heat, humidity, and old age health issues keep me from venturing out alone. (Sigh)

Beautiful but understand. I know about what keeps me from walking trails and such. But we keep moving forward and trying. Thank you for your words.
